Heyo! My name is Regan Zandstra. I am 19-years-old, and I am from Grand Haven, Michigan. I love reading, photography, traveling, training my German Shepherd dog, Rogue, and playing soccer on occasion. I also love being with my family and friends.
I accepted Jesus Christ into my life when I was 5 years old. I grew up in a home with parents who took me to church every Sunday, with Sunday school in the early morning, church services, and then youth group later on. But I didn’t really begin to truly seek the Lord until a little after the beginning of my freshman year of high school. Since then though I have tried my hardest to glorify God in everything I do, and I have come to notice a new passion for working with younger students and helping them understand God and how they too can grow in their relationship with Him everyday! The Costa Rica and Guatemala trip this coming summer will allow me to exercise this new passion, while also learning more Spanish and glorifying God through the beauty of art.
My favorite Bible verse is Psalms 23:4, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Holy Bible, ESV). This verse means a lot to me and has helped me get through many tough experiences throughout the years.
I am really looking forward to working with other students who have the same passion to serve the Lord, and I am beyond excited to see the work of the Lord in the mission field as I travel to Costa Rica and Guatemala this coming summer! I can’t wait to be a small part of expanding the kingdom of God while also having experiences that I know I will remember for the rest of my life.
In Omnia Paratus
Regan, I’m so proud of you! You will do great things for the Kingdom of God! -Dad
